After completing my BCA, I found myself at a crossroads. Initially, I ventured into front-end development, learning about UI/UX design. While coding didn’t resonate with me, I became fascinated by the psychology behind design—how something as simple as the placement of a button, the choice of colors, or the type of font could subtly guide user decisions. This realization planted the first seeds of my interest in marketing.
As I explored further, I was captivated by the stories behind some of the most iconic marketing successes and failures. For instance, how Crocs turned their unconventional design into a global phenomenon; how Dyson redefined everyday products like vacuum cleaners and hair dryers to command premium prices; and how Tata Nano’s failure wasn’t about the product itself but its positioning as “cheap” rather than “affordable.” These examples revealed to me that marketing isn’t just about selling products—it’s about selling ideas, emotions, and lifestyles.
The more I learned, the more I realized that marketing shapes nearly every aspect of our lives. From the clothes we wear to the food we eat, from traditions like destination weddings to even how we vote in elections—marketing is everywhere. It’s not just about creating demand; it’s about crafting narratives that resonate deeply with people. This realization fueled my desire to dive deeper into this field.
Digital marketing particularly intrigued me because it offers unparalleled precision and control. It’s where creativity meets data-driven strategies, allowing marketers to target individuals with laser-focused campaigns. With its rapid growth and high ROI potential, digital marketing felt like the perfect fit for my interests and skills.
Over the past eight months, I’ve immersed myself in this field. To put my learning into practice, I built this blog website, igtejas, where I experiment with SEO strategies, content creation, email marketing campaigns, and more. Every element of this site reflects my dedication to understanding not just surface-level tactics but the underlying principles that drive successful marketing.
